Dr. Allen Sinai is chief global economist, president and cofounder of Decision Economics, Inc., a global economics and financial market information support and advisory firm serving financial institutions, corporations, governments and individuals worldwide.
Dr. Sinai served as managing director and chief global economist for Lehman Brothers from 1983-1996, during which time he built the economics function at Lehman. Prior to that he was senior vice president and chief financial economist at Data Resources. He has been consulted by the Federal Reserve and by administrations of both political parties and has frequently testified before Congress. Dr. Sinai has also advised a number of central banks and governments around the globe. He has taught at several universities, including the Sloan School at MIT, and has written numerous articles and papers in the scientific literature and popular press. Dr. Sinai has won several forecasting awards and he has frequently been in the news media.
